Burlington Concrete Company was founded in 2023 by a crew that had spent years working in the concrete trade in Vermont before striking out on their own. Burlington made sense as a home base - it is the largest city in the state, the housing stock is old and needs real work, and the winters here are hard on anything built outdoors.
Burlington sits on the eastern shore of Lake Champlain and gets around 80 inches of snow a year. That kind of freeze-thaw cycle is hard on driveways, patios, sidewalks, and foundations. We saw plenty of concrete work being done in this city that was not built to survive Vermont winters. We started this company to do things right - proper base prep, the correct mix for cold climates, permits pulled, and a written estimate before any work begins.
Since 2023, we have worked on projects ranging from new driveways in the Old North End to foundation work on the Hill near UVM.
